A Window in Manhattan by GAIA Parfums captures that private experience of New York City.

Created by perfumer Anas Sabrani under the creative direction of Ovais Saleem, this woody amber musk fragrance begins with luminous neroli, bergamot and mandarin. Golden saffron, warm musk and refined vetiver gradually bring a more intimate character, before myrrh, vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood and patchouli settle into a smooth, resinous drydown.

The composition is designed to move comfortably through different seasons and settings. Fresh enough to enjoy during warmer days, with enough warmth and depth for the hours after dark.

A Window in Manhattan was created by perfumer Anas Sabrani, with Ovais Saleem serving as Creative Director.

The fragrance was developed around a defined creative idea and a finalised composition of neroli, bergamot, mandarin, saffron, musk, vetiver, myrrh, vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood and patchouli.

The central challenge was balance.

The citrus needed to feel bright without overwhelming the heart. Saffron had to introduce warmth without making the composition too heavy. Musk and vetiver needed to connect the opening with the resinous, woody base.

Vanilla and tonka bean were included to provide softness, while myrrh, sandalwood and patchouli gave the fragrance its deeper character.

The finished concept reflects GAIA Parfums' approach to independent perfumery: developing fragrances around stories, places and human experiences, then giving those ideas an olfactory identity.

The composition uses natural and organic ingredients as part of its material palette, with the full formula developed to serve the fragrance's intended character.
